Lead Free Design is a privately held, international consulting company. Founded in 2003 and based in Colorado Springs, we are specialists in getting technical products into global markets.

Our Main Services
RoHS Compliance
We analyze your electronic products, provide RoHS compliant documents and testing, and maintain them for you, all at a fraction of the cost of doing it in-house. RoHS is no longer limited to the European Union. We specialize in worldwide RoHS certification, including China RoHS.
RoHS Conversion
If analysis shows non-compliant parts in your product, we recommend substitute parts with form, fit and function analyses. If RoHS compliant versions of your original components are not available, we can convert your existing leaded parts into lead-free compliant parts.
Medical RoHS Conversion
We are specialists in Medical RoHS conversions. To ensure FDA compliance, medical devices require special methods and in-depth documentation. We protect your existing FDA certification and 510(k) with full verification and validation procedures, along with component lifecycle analysis.
REACH Compliance
REACH compliance is now a requirement for almost all products sold into the EU. A September 2015 EU high court ruling requires analysis and reporting on more than 170 chemicals. We specialize in cost effective REACH compliance for electronics and related equipment.
